I JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: Supply-Chain Technical Engineer

Department: Sourcing Dept.

Report to: Supply-Chain Quality Supervisor

II JOB OBJECTIVES

· To ensure zero quality defect of delivered products, tooling and equipments

· To work closely with sourcing project team to achieve project time schedule

· To issue suppliers audit reports and products inspection reports.

· To check production feasibility of design and modify it for purpose of adapting to state of art in China or to achieve better price per unit

· To work with branch technical guys to help supplier to solve technical problems and make progressive improvement in quality of products

III JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

· To make potential suppliers clearly understand our sourcing objects by explaining technical Spec. and drawings from branches and presenting samples if possible.

· To work with branches to visit potential suppliers to for purpose of discussing technical issues.

· To take audit of the potential suppliers with sourcing officers, issue audit report to branches and project manager and to provide suggestions and proposals for choosing qualified suppliers.

· To work with branches to implement process audit on supplier's site to ensure its capability of producing as per specification and drawings requirements

· To work with 3^rd party to audit suppliers for required certificate

· To take regular audit of supplier and evaluate supplier performance by using key performance indicators (KPI) and communicate the appraisal result with sourcing officers.

· To coordinate all relationship with technical guys in branches and in suppliers'factories.

· To respect project timetable and report progress to project team both in CHN and in branches.

· To keep an eye on our competitors' sourcing activity in CHN and make report of competitors' follow up sheet every month.

IV ORGANIZATION AND WORKING RELATIONSHIP

· Report to Supply-Chain Quality Supervisor

· Work closely with sourcing team members internally and externally.

· Work closely with other members in supply chain Dept.

· Work closely with purchasing and technical person in SGPAM France

V WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

· Working language will be in English & Mandarin

· The job is based in Shanghai/XZ/MAS

· A lot of travel is needed, and the working time is often irregular.

VI JOB QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor degree or equivalent, majored in technology, in foundry area will be a plus in particular with molding and coring study or pattern shop experience;

· Minimum of 2-year experience in technical position;

· Good command of English, at least in writing and listening;

· PC skill in CAD and office software is essential. Capable to draw modifications with CAD software as AutoCAD 2000 or equivalent Good understanding on technical drawings to visualize products in 3 dimension and machining needs;

· Be open, proactive and hardworking;

· Good teamwork spirit.
