Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the successful creation, development and execution of (including the production of output documents for) the following:
-Product development assigned by General Manager / SBU R&D directors. (Product, cost, timing).
-Product transfer.
-Creation of production specification.
-Creation of product data sheet.
-Watch for innovation in process/ in raw materials.
-Propose some cost saving in terms of process and new raw material.
-Establish and coordinate all partnership with local supplier to realize the project.
-Provide technical support for questions that fall beyond the scope of Product manager Product Specialist, Customer Service or Technical Support Departments if applicable.
-Setting budget for the laboratory and project.
-Manage the factory laboratory including the team of technical experts. ( 4 direct reports)
-Design and commissioning of new production equipment.
-Reporting to General Manager the status of all projects.
Responsible for approving (including final sign off of) the output of other Product Specific functions including:
-Industrialization of all product transfer from central R&D laboratory.
-Productivity improvement on equipment/ process.
-Validation of new raw material sourced by Purchasing.
Responsible for supporting (including providing necessary data for) other departments
-Production quality test
-Quality manager in solving quality issue.
-Know-how sharing inside its team and with central laboratory.
Should be consulted for: (i.e. open co-operation)
-Raw material supplier selection by Purchasing manager
-Other departments as necessary

-R&D SBU central laboratory
-R&D SBU team from central laboratory in France.

- At least 3 years in a R&D manager position in JV or WOFE in China
- Knowledge in chemistry.
- Degree holder in Science chemistry,
- Fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin.
- Open to multi cultural working environment
- Ability to communicate in a multi national company structure
- Strong ethics.
